So we rented this place on Chalk Creek with a pool fed by natural hotsprings.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park - May/June 2014

Smokemont Campground - after a day of driving and stocking up at 2 of Atlanta's REI locations we rolled into the parking lot at Smokemont, near the Cherokee, NC entrance to the park. 

After waiting out a short shower we headed out onto the trail.  5 miles down the Bradley Fork Trail was campsite 49.

We were a little soggy after another shower caught us on the trail.  But we had several breaks in the rain and used them to find salamanders in the creek and to cook up our dinner. 

Aniversario Fiesta Rainbow Party 2015

Just returned from our 10th anniversary party in Nathrop, Colorado.  We had an amazing adventure including some stellar hikes, a pig roast and fabulous friends.
